C & A Design Associates began business in 2002 after owners Alan & Christie Sanborn decided to design and draw up plans for their own home.
They spent a year searching for the ‘ideal” house after moving back from Virginia, but couldn’t find the design that fit their needs. They decided to design their own place and almost immediately thereafter started designing for others.
In 2005 the business became an LLC and in 2006 the owners joined the National Association of Home Builders.
